RESIDENCE OF A FAMILY MEMBER OF AN EU CITIZEN IN SPAIN
Residence as an EU family member in Spain can be granted to foreign partners of EU citizens or unmarried and unregistered Spanish partners, so we thought it would be a good idea to talk about the EU family member residence procedure.
As its name indicates, the EU family member residency is a residency to which family members of a Spanish citizen or of another country of the European Union (EU) or of another signatory country of the Agreement on the European Economic Area (EEA) or Switzerland, who have not acquired the nationality of one of these countries, may opt for by right. If the family member is going to reside in Spain for a period of more than three months, he/she must apply for and obtain a Union citizen's family card.
